Phil spent a lot of his retirement on the hobby farm fishing and boating and camping. He also had a great love for all his pets that included cats and a dog and chickens. He even took up the hobby of having sheep at one point in time. He had a love for bees as he raised them for honey. He also liked gardening with his wife Denise every year in the spring. He enjoyed getting on the mower every week get the yard mowed. He also enjoyed the morel mushrooms his wife Denise would go out and hunt in the warm spring days in her secret spots.
