Charles Giovanny Macias

Mr. Charles Giovanny Macias of Pond Eddy, NY died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at home. He was 67.

He was born September 16, 1958 in Guayaquil, Ecuador the son of the late Carlos H. Macias and Blanca F. Campuzano-Macias.

Charles retired as a Bank Branch Manager for Catskill Hudson Bank in Monticello, NY.

He attended St. Mary's RC Church in Port Jervis, NY and was a past member of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and the Monticello, NY Kiwanis Club.

A family statement read: Charles was our everything. Devoted son loyal brother. Wonderful, Supportive husband. He was always more concerned about other people's welfare than his own. He always tried to help and lend a hand wherever possible. Even when he was going through difficult times, he put the concern and welfare of others first.

He kept up a daily text chain with friends and acquaintances all over the country and started their days off with a good morning message. It was appreciated by so many people and just that little gesture will be a huge loss to everyone.

He was the apple of his mother's eye always by her side. Always supportive always there when she needed him the most. Some of his happiest times was when Mom spent the weekends with us at our house during the summer and on holidays.

There is a huge hole in my life. He's been my everything for 32 years. He's always been by my side. It's never been him or me but always us and I will truly be lost without him. Charles will be missed by family, friends and no words can express the depth of our loss.

Sister: Blanca Macias of Yonkers, NY

Sister: Sonnia Macias-Sirico and her husband Charles of Beacon, NY

Sister: Ivonne Macias-Mansberg and her husband Daniel of Paso Robles, CA

Brother-in-law: John Dufour and his wife Diane of East Rockaway, NY

Nieces and Nephews: Shawn Sirico, Derek Sirico and his wife Ashley, Samantha Sirico, Orion Mansberg, Jake Dufour, Kyle Dufour, Leann Craumer and her husband Mark and Tania Dufour.

Great Nephew Espen and Great Niece Morrigan

He is further survived by his faithful furry children Sinbad, Sadie and Sidney.

He was predeceased by his father Carlos H. Macias, his brother-in-law Edmund "Skip" Dufour and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Andre and Gertrude Dufour

A visitation will be held at GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis, NY on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm followed by a Blessing Service at 2:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY.

Cremation will follow at the MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA with a burial of cremains in the Milford Cemetery, Milford, PA.
