Jean M. Bell

Mrs. Jean M. Bell of Matamoras, PA and formerly of Port Jervis, NY died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Delaware Valley Personal Care Residence in Matamoras, PA. She was 85.

She was born January 21, 1941 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late Amos T. Belcher and the late Anne E. Williams Belcher.

Jean married Frank D. Bell on February 28, 1964 in Port Jervis, NY and they were married for 52 years prior to Frank's passing on April 19, 2016.

She worked as a waitress for Hawk's Nest Restaurant in Sparrowbush, NY.

A family statement read: In a family that revolved around school and sports, she was the glue that kept it all together. The family would like to thank Krystal, Christella and all the staff at Delaware Personal Care Residence for the wonderful care given to Jean.

Surviving are:

3 sons: Frank B. Bell and his wife Alicia of Kerrville, TX; John J. Bell and his wife Lynne of Milford, PA and Robert M. Bell and his wife Kristina of Ocean City, NJ.

7 Grandchildren: Brian Bell and his wife Maddy, Janeen March and her husband Matthew, Tyler Gamlin, Michael Bell, David Bell, Brandon Bell and Caroline Bell.

2 Great Grandchildren: Nova Bell and Matthew March, Jr.

2 Sisters-in-law: Cecelia Bell of Millsboro, DE and Gail Belcher of Port Jervis, NY.

Also many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers: George Belcher and his wife Linda and Arthur Belcher.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law: John Bell

A visitation will be held at GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Amy Garrett officiating.

A burial of cremains will be in the Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY
