Charles Malchow Obituary
Chuck was a 1960 graduate of Francesville High School. On January 1, 1966, he married the love of his life, Jackie Stults, in Medaryville, Indiana.
A skilled and hardworking tradesman, Chuck began his career working for Monon Trailer, Doc Flora in Wolcott, and Overmyer Farms. He later fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening his own business, Malchow Welding and Repair, in Wolcott, Indiana. Chuck formerly attended Milroy Community Bible Church and was well known for his generous volunteer service at the Jasper County Fairgrounds, especially in the swine barn.
Chuck and Jackie greatly enjoyed their retirement years together, spending winters in Florida. He was a passionate Purdue basketball fan, loved fishing from his pontoon boat, and above all cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Malchow; his children, Cary (Amy) Malchow of Gaston, Indiana, Tabby (Don) Evans of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Cory (Sarah) Malchow of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Dakota (Evy), Holly, Carly, Sydney, Reece, Katie, Corbin, Apollo, and Alexander; and one great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Phyllis Anliker of Francesville, Indiana, and Lynette (Larry) Miller of Rensselaer, Indiana; and his sister-in-law, Evelyn Malchow of Idaville, Indiana.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call on the family on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. CT, with Pastor Todd Miller and Randy Anliker officiating. Cremation rites will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jasper County Fair Association, 2671 W. Clark Street, Rensselaer, IN 47978.
