Charles Alan "Cowboy" May, 65, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Crestview, Florida. Born on September 14, 1959, in Panama City Beach, Florida, Charles lived a life marked by deep love for his family and an unwavering passion for music.

Known affectionately as "Cowboy," Charles brought warmth and joy to those around him. His ability to light up a room with song was unmatched-no matter the mood or moment, his voice could lift spirits and bring smiles. Music was not just a pastime for him; it was a part of who he was, a gift he shared freely with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Charles was a devoted father to his son, Tyler May and daughter, Ashley Lucero. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Jaxon Donohue, Ella-Mae Stacey, and Wyatt Lucero. His love extended beyond immediate family; he was a caring brother to David May and the late Bobby May, Sr., and a beloved uncle to James May. He also held close the memory of his wife, Paula and his parents, Margret and Bobby May.

His faith was personal and ever-present; Charles worshipped God wherever he found himself, carrying his spirituality with humility and grace throughout his life.

Those who knew Charles remember him as a loving father, son, brother, cousin, and uncle-a man whose presence brought comfort and whose laughter filled hearts. His legacy lives on in the music he loved and, in the memories, held dear by those who survive him. May his memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew him.
