Charles Wayne McDuffie

Charles "Charlie" Wayne McDuffie, 80 years old, of Andalusia, Alabama passed away on August 13, 2025, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center surrounded by loving family.
Charles was born on December 19, 1944 to Ibeary Veasey and John Henry McDuffie. He married Patricia Ann Chapel on August 8, 1963, and together they shared 48 years of marriage prior to her death.
Charles is survived by children: Debbie Nelson (Chuck), Valerie Taylor (Darryl), David McDuffie (Tammy), and Bobby McDuffie (Tami). Grandchildren: Nick Lawson (Stacey), Taylor Cotton (Anthony), Devan McDuffie (Keelie), Abby Carpenter (Hunter), Megan and Anna Nelson, and Emma and Bethany Taylor. Great-grandchildren: 6. Siblings: Kathy McDuffie, Sherry Dubose (Carl), Karen Hartley (Ricky), and Stevie McDuffie and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann, parents John Henry and Ibeary McDuffie, brothers Ronnie and Jimmy McDuffie, and grandson John Cody McDuffie. He was well known throughout the community for his 28 years of service as a mechanic at Firestone and 18 years of service at Walmart Service Center. Many customers knew him by "Charlie." His favorite pastimes included fishing and trips to the casino.
