Sybil Grace Godwin Weaver

Mrs. Sybil Grace Godwin Weaver, age 90, of Andalusia, Alabama passed away Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama.
Funeral services for Mrs. Weaver will be held 11 AM, Friday, November 7, 2025 at The First Baptist Church of Andalusia with Dr. Kevin Wilburn and Pastor Lee Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 -11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2025 at The First Baptist Church of Andalusia 30 minutes prior to services.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Suzanne "Kay" Weaver Ingram (Mark); her grandchildren, Rebecca Weaver Rybicki (Kevin), Rachel Weaver Hutcherson, Roy H. "Rolly" Weaver, V (Dasha), Laura Ashley Ingram Harper (Lee), Lindley Ingram Anderson (Ronnie), Marcus Ingram (Mallory); 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy Holland Weaver, Jr. and her son, Roy Holland Weaver, III.
She was born in 1935 in Andalusia, Alabama, a beloved daughter of the late John Aubrey and Bessie Mae Eiland Godwin. She later became a member of The First Baptist Church of Andalusia where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and in the church library.
Sybil held a bachelors degree from Troy State University and masters degree from Auburn University. She taught reading for thirty years at Fleeta School where she was a wonderful teacher that loved her students dearly.
She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they were her heart.
Sybil loved Jesus with all of her heart and soul and made sure to talk about Him everywhere she went. She prayed everyone in her family would accept Jesus in their heart and raise their families to one day follow Jesus.
Mrs. Weaver's family would like to thank the caregivers at Seagrass Village of Daphne for their incredible care and love for her. She was affectionally known as "Sybil Darling" and brought her own special wit to the many new friends she lived life with there.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Ingram, Lawrence Weaver, James Martin, Rolly Weaver, Ronnie Anderson, Greg Ennis, Mike Cauley, David Godwin, James Harper and Kevin Rybicki.
Memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Andalusia in memory of Mrs. Sybil Grace Godwin Weaver.
