Charles W McElfresh, 83 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on July 15th, 1942, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a 45-year member of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Charles proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, following his service, he built a long career with Ford Motor Company where he retired from after many dedicated years.
Charles cherished his time with his beloved wife- his adventure partner. Together they traveled the world, sharing countless memories, especially their trips to Austria to visit family.
Charles lived life in motion- on two wheels or two feet. He loved the freedom of riding his motorcycle, and in his later years loved riding his bicycle. When he wasn’t traveling or out riding you could find him on the golf course or sitting at a table playing euchre or poker.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Berta McElfresh, son Nick (Cristy) McElfresh, daughter Renee McElfresh, daughter Tina (Chuck) Nelson, grandsons, Zak, Jackson, Jesse, granddaughters, Alex, Shelby, great grandsons, Greyson, Keegan. Charles is proceeded in his death by granddaughter Paige McElfresh
