In loving memory of Charles Richard McLain, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend who passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Charles was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was the son of the late Charles Marshall McLain and Mary LaVonne Harpe.
Charles was known for his kind and generous heart. His favorite hobby was traveling with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was quick witted and loved to make people smile.
Charles was a member of the Old Hickory Church of Christ. He was always mission focused and willing to serve others. He loved his community and had a servants heart.
Charles is survived by his wife Tatha McLain; sons, Ashton McLain and Austin McLain; daughters, Abigail McLain, Anna (Brandon) Kraus, and Savannah (Justin) Harmon, as well as grandsons, Jackson Harmon and Logan Harmon and granddaughter, Sydney Ann Harmon. He is also survived by his sister Paula (Trevor) Romaine, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Charles will be held at the Old Hickory Church of Christ in Old Hickory, Tennessee on Thursday, October 24th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with services beginning at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation toward Ashton McLain's educational trust. The trust has been established at the Old Hickory Credit Union.
