Charles “Chuck” McLaughlin (85) of Urbana went home to be with his wife and son, on March 3rd, 2026. He was born on April 26th, 1940, to the late Richard and Doris (Duff) McLaughlin. He attended St. Mary Catholic school of Urbana. A proud patriot, he served in the Ohio National Guard in the 1960’s before his honorable discharge in 1970. Charles worked for his family at the Douglas Hotel and at Ewings Cafeteria. He also worked at United Board and Card and other construction jobs. After he settled at Kapp Construction, where he retired after decades of service. He Married the love of his life, Sue (Blair) McLaughlin, which he married October 27th, 1962. Chuck was a true craftsman at heart, Charles enjoyed anything that allowed him to work with his hands. He enjoyed hobbies like fishing, tinkering with computers, or building and fixing things. He was known for his dedication, his hard work ethic, and his faith. He was a loving husband and wonderful grandfather. He attended Jenkins Chapel. He is preceded in death by his wife; son Tony; brother Fred and also preceded by many family and beloved in-laws. He is survived by his daughter Nicole (Glenn) Clyburn, grandchildren Brandon and Courtney Clyburn. His sisters Jane Clinger, and Betty Wilson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pastor Dale Wallace will officiate his Funeral at 12:00 Noon Monday March 9, 2026, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home 5591 US Highway 68 West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery of West Liberty Ohio. Contributions may be made to Jenkins chapel of Cable Ohio. The family wishes to thank care tender’s hospice and special nurse Lesha.
