Charles Edward "Charlie" McMinn, born on June 19, 1941, in Panola County, MS, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Oxford, MS. Charlie dedicated his career as a bridge supervisor for the Mississippi Department of Transportation, where his commitment to infrastructure development served communities for many years.
Visitation will be held on February 12, 2026, at Wells Funeral Home Batesville from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. The interment will take place following the service at Sunset Cemetery in Thyatira, MS.
Charlie's passions extended beyond his profession; he was a hardworking individual with a love for mechanics and woodworking. These hobbies not only reflected his skill and creativity but also highlighted his dedication to quality and craftsmanship in all he undertook. Charlie was a member of the Batesville Church of Christ.
He will be remembered fondly by his loving family, which includes his beloved wife, Audrey O. McMinn, of Batesville, and their cherished children: Ashley McMinn and Stevie McMinn (Amy), both of Batesville. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Martha Frances Barnett of Mobile, Alabama, along with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward McMinn and Annie Merl White McMinn, and his son, Randy McMinn. Their memories will forever be a part of his legacy.
Charlie McMinn's life was a blend of love, hard work, and dedication, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
