Charles Anthony Moliere, affectionately known as, "Pum," peacefully transitioned on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was 87 years old. Charles was the son of the late Aquila "Tee Lee" Moliere and Thelma Duplessis Moliere. Charles led a very adventurous life. He served the United States by joining the Army and toured several countries in Europe and Asia. After leaving the Army, Charles became a devoted fisherman and spent the best years of his life working on the bayous of Plaquemines Parish doing what he loved. Pum could often be found gardening, playing cards, and riding his bicycle. In his later years, Charles enjoyed reminiscing and telling stories about his life and adventures in the army. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Aquila "Tee Lee" and Thelma Moliere, as well as his former wife, Lilly Mae Hill Cosse. He was survived by his children, Desra Harrison (Eric), Shonda Little (Robert III), Adrele Homer (Vernon) and Troy Moliere, Sr. (Dana). He was the proud grandfather of Donald Duplessis, Jr. (Brittney), Ariel Homer, Stasia Miller (Keiron), Eric Shay Harrison, Troy Moliere, Jr., and Robert Little, IV (Taylor). He also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren: Jayden, Khloe, Armani, Kaileigh, Demi, Keiron Jr., Jordyn, Kamrynn, Charlie, Konner, and Tattum. He was the brother of Maxine Moliere Spight (deceased Sidney), Jimmy Moliere (Sabine), Wilfred Moliere (Carol), and the late Marjorie Summers (Ferdinand), Benny Moliere, Al Moliere, Sr., Rogers Moliere and Lucien Moliere, Sr. Charles is also survived by his caring friend, Winona Williams, and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Lastly, he is survived by his personal pastor Minister Carolyn Sylve. Relatives and friends of the family as well as members of the Mckinney Post Office, Gretna Post Office, Jefferson Parish Public Schools, St. Anthony Catholic School, Agape Fellowship, St. Thomas Catholic Church, River of Life, Freedom Center and neighboring Churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Agape Fellowship Church, located at 16281 Ventura Lane, Davant, Louisiana 70040. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Service. Reverend Robert George Little III will officiate, and entombment will follow at St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery.
