Charles Richard Norman

Charles Richard Norman passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 92. He was born in Pasadena on November 6, 1930, son of the late Francis and Blanche Norman. On November 30, 1957, he married his lifetime sweetheart, Caroline, whom he had known since elementary school. For over 70 years, he owned and operated Norman's Nursery, one of the premier wholesale nurseries in California. This work was his pride and joy; he dedicated himself to it, reviewing sales and inventory reports even in his final days. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and the great outdoors. Charles was a generous donor of time, resources, and landscaping services to many Catholic organizations and public schools. Particularly dear to him were the Carmelite Sisters of Duarte and Alhambra. He is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Caroline; their two children, Theodore and Cecelia; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Claire, Elise, Adrienne, Blake, Peter, John, Matthew, and Claire; and their four great-grandchildren, Eva, Eleanor, Emmerson, and Isabel.
