Charles Osborn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Mar. 10, 2026.
Charles "Butch" Walter Osborn, Jr., 70, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on November 8, 1955, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Charles Walter Osborn, Sr. and Ella Marie Osborn.

Butch graduated from Kingsbury High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and spent many years working as a jeweler and subcontractor. He was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Orange Park, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and helped organize the Men's Breakfast Ministry. His faith and servant's heart touched many lives.

Butch found joy in the simple things-tending to his garden, sharing time with his family, and especially making memories with his beloved grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Osborn.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy Gail Osborn; his children, Carrie Godfrey (Michael) and Ryan Osborn (Brittany); his treasured grandchildren, Abbie Godfrey, Caleb Godfrey, and Charlotte Osborn; his sisters, Joyce Bour and Hazel Flynn (Robert); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the congregation of First Baptist Church of Orange Park for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Orange Park, 1140 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, (904) 264-1233.
