Cora Osborn Obituary

Cora Elise Osborn passed away on February 26, 2026, at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City at the age of three from undiagnosed brain cancer.

Cora was born at home in Layton, Utah on September 14, 2022, to Melissa and Justin Osborn. She is a bright light that lit up our family when she arrived. She loves every member of the family so completely. Her brothers were her world. She loved playing and keeping up with them and they doted on her. She loved going outside and playing or taking walks. She would sing and sing all the time, often making up tunes or words which were sometimes recognizable. She loved cute or beautiful things, jewelry, polished nails, and the color pink. She absolutely loved books and reading and being read to. The best part of each day was when her dada woke up and she ran to greet him. She was a mama’s girl through and through. She was outgoing and chatty, and won the hearts of anyone that crossed her path.

Cora loved Jesus. She loved going to church and attending her nursery and sunbeams class with her friends and teachers. She loved going to our Joyful Hearts homeschool co-op and seeing all her friends there and playing on the playground after. She absolutely loved going to see her grandparents and any event with cousins and aunts and uncles. She was gregarious and loved people.

Cora’s symptoms came on suddenly and she left us quickly. While brain cancer took her from us, she was so happy and had such a great quality of life right up to the end. For that, we are so grateful. We are so sad we have to be separated from our girl for now. But we look forward to being reunited with her.

We are so grateful to Primary Children’s Hospital for the exceptional care they took of our sweet angel girl and for everyone who touched her life in this world and allowed her to touch theirs.

Cora’s memory will be cherished by her parents, her two brothers, her four grandparents, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She joins her uncle David and other beloved ancestors already in the spirit world.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house located at 1954 E Antelope Drive in Layton, Utah. We invite guests who would like to come wearing pink.

Friends may visit with family Friday March 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah, and Saturday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
