Charles Carmine Pecora, 77 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Oak Grove PFWB Church, officiating will be Rev. David Taylor. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM Saturday at the church before the service.
Charles was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late, Pasquale and Mildred Pecora. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother-in-law's, Ray Pope, Ralph Logner and Archie Johnston.
Charles was a United States Navy Veteran, who served in the Vietnam War. He also worked as a supervisor and several Piedmont Airline Companies, was a longtime member of Oak Grove PFWB Church, loved the Carolina Tarheels, and enjoyed coaching baseball to children.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Kimberly Koop Pecora of the home; children, Charles Carmine Pecora, Jr. of the home, and Patrick Carl Pecora & wife, Tracy of Whiteville; grandchildren, Avery, Daisy, and Shiloh Ruth Pecora; and his sisters, Celeste Pope of Stedman and Cynthia Johnston of Durham.
