Charles E. Phillabaum Jr.

1949 - 2024

Charles E. Phillabaum Jr., 74, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Charles E. Sr., who passed in 2007, and Betty Hostetler Phillabaum, who passed in 1994. Chuck was a 1967 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for 25 years, and he had also worked at L.E. Smith Glass Co. for several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He is survived by his sister, Donna Czekaj, of Greensburg ( Century Farms); nephew, Brian Czekaj, of Norvelt; and great-niece, Maci Czekaj. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Phillabaum, who passed in 2004. As per Charles' wishes, there was no public viewing and services and interment were private for the family. All arrangements were under the direction of the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E.
