Charles "Chucky" Wade Phillips Jr., 56, of Loris, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Chucky was born May 6, 1965 in Sanford, North Carolina, a son of Charles Wade Phillips Sr. and Elizabeth Louise Heath. He was preceded in death by his father, as well as his brother Anthony "Tony" Bright Phillips.
In life, Chucky was self-employed as a carpet layer. He was also a member of the Gulf Presbyterian Church. Chucky was a simple man with simple tastes. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars and motorcycles and playing with his dog. Above all else, Chucky loved his family dearly, especially his children and grandchildren.
Chucky is survived by a large and loving family, including his daughter Ambur Lynn Salvo (Elijah Trager); his son Anthony James "AJ" Phillips; his mother Elizabeth Louise Heath "Mutt"; his sisters Vicki Phillips (Gary Morgan), Pat Gunter (Raymond), Jenny Phillips (Chris Pilson); his grandchildren Travis James Phillips, Skye Ariana Phillips, Carter Bright Phillips and Tanner Axel Phillips; his nephew Robie Holshauser Jr.; his niece Erica Holshauser; many other extended family members and friends; and last but not least, his loyal dog companion Pepper.
A memorial service to honor Chucky will be held in North Carolina at a later date, to be announced by the family.
Goldfinch Funeral Home of Loris is honored to serve the family.
