Charles Raymond Pleasant, Sr, of Bessemer City, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Robin Johnson Hospice House. He was born in Rutherford County, on December 28, 1939, to the late William Ernest Pleasant and Gladys Bryson Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Raymond Pleasant, Jr., brother, Calvin Mills, sister, Judy Carpenter, and granddaughter, Crystal Walker.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 69 years, Carolyn Pleasant, sons, William Pleasant, and Ronald Pleasant both of Bessemer City, daughter-in-law, Wanda Pleasant, sister, Pat Jackson (Larry) of Iron Station, 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Chris Jonathan officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Carl Freeman, Jr., Mark Freeman, Roger Pleasant, Kameron Pleasant, Michael Pleasant, Jr., Austin Pleasant.
