Judy Carolyn Eller Shultz, 80, of Dallas, passed away at her residence on January 2, 2026. She was born September 17, 1945, in Gaston County, to the late Charles McCoy Eller and Callie Cox Eller.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Madison Mixon; sisters, Carrie Louvinia Hill, Sandra Shaw, Rita Turpin; brothers, O'Dell Eller, Doug Eller, John Eller; daughter-in-law, Teresa Mixon; mother-in-law and father-in law, Charles and Betty Shultz

Judy was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She had a fondness for owls, found peace in the mountains, and enjoyed spending time camping. She was also a loyal and enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan. She formerly worked at the Dallas Grill, where she made many friends who became like family.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 40 years, James Shultz; sons, Jonnie Mixon II (Lisa), Robert Mixon, Shayne Mixon (Cathy); grandchildren, Whitney Mixon (Travis), Heather Mixon (Peter), Allison Myers (Stephen), Marybeth Queen (Lauren), Krisden Schoener, Olivia Schoener, Jessica Bridges, Logan Bridges; great-grandchildren, Tesla, Issiah, Dalton, Spencer, Ethan; sister, Vergie Boone; sister-in-law, Lori Bass (John); brothers-in-law, Greg Shultz (Marilyn), Michael Shultz (Deborah); daughter-in-law, Darlene Schoener; and her sons' dad, Big Jonnie Mixon.

With grateful hearts, the family would like to extend a special thank you to their neighbors, Ed Cochran, Marlene Peterson, Brianna Nicholson, and Brenda Nicholson, for their kindness and all the many ways they helped.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Judy's funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Gomez officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
