Charles Prichard Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at Kairos Dwelling Home in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with his son Russell at his side.

Charles was born on July 11, 1936, in Truman, Arkansas, the son of Charles Ben and Freida (Pipkin) Prichard. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles B. Prichard Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Foote and Linda (Lonnie) Hart, both of Delton, Michigan.

In 1955, Charles moved to Michigan City, Indiana, where he met and married Anna Marie Smith in 1957. Together they had eight children: Debrah Ann (Mike) Marriott, Susan Lynn Garmon, Charles Eugene (June) Prichard Jr., Pamela Kay (Mark) Budak, Gary Allen Prichard, Freida Marie McLemore, Russell Aaron (Terri) Prichard, and Ronald Erik Scott Prichard.

Charles and Anna divorced in 1979. Through his children, Charles was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Charles worked for U.S. Steel from 1957 to 1972 as an electrician, Bethlehem Steel from 1972- 1983 as an electrical engineer. He later worked at the Bendix Missile Plant from 1983 to 1985 and at Weil-McLain, where he retired in 1999.

Charles is survived by his second wife, Linda (Phillips) Prichard. Charles and Linda were married on February 14, 1997, and shared 29 years together.

A private ceremony will be held at Williams-Gores Funeral Home in Delton, Michigan. Charles will be laid to rest in Hickory Corners, Michigan. Please visit www.williamsgoresfuneral.com to share a memory or leave a condolence message for Charles' family.

Uncle Charles ! There is not enough space and time to write down all the memories I have. From the weekends we all came and spent the weekend with you all ! House filled with family! To the years you and Russell and Ronnie. Came lots of weekends to stay at our house. To the night we were at the same bar at the same time. Oh how we laughed! Thank you for not telling on me. So much more! But we will see you and Mom and Dad !! Give My Uncle John a hug for me to Please !
