Charles Peyton Ray III, age 58, of Louisville, Kentucky died on July 12, 2023, at his home.
Peyton graduated from St. Francis High School and, UofL. He was always seeking a new challenge which led to several creative careers. After working for Power Graphics, he moved to Washington, D.C. where, he was tasked with filming the Sistine Chapel in Rome. Moving on to California, Peyton was a producer at Disney Imagineering. When that division was discontinued, he turned to Palm Springs, where he restored important Midcentury homes. Returning home to Louisville, Peyton created Meat in Butchertown which was shortly voted "One of The Best Bars in The World".
Peyton is survived by his parents; mother, Judith Miner (Laura Ross), father, Charles Peyton Ray, Jr.; brother, Richard Ray (Tina); and many dear friends.
The gathering with family and friends to honor Peyton will be 4-7 Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. The time of remembrance will be 6:30-7 Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to; Goodwill Industries of KY, 1325 South Fourth St. Louisville, KY 40208 or The Healing Place, 1020 W. Market Louisville, KY 40202.
Arrangements under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes to Remember."
