Charles Ray, 81, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024. Born on March 1, 1943, he was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil L. Ray and Martha J. Rimlinger, and his sisters, Patricia Ray and Myrna Anderson. He also mourned the loss of his nephews, Wayne and Joseph Wilhoite.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Judith V. Ray; daughters Virginia Darlene Roberts (Chad) and Bonnie Lynn Marshall (William); and grandchildren Virginia L. Schaak (Brooks), Chandra R. King (Michael), Justin W. Cobb, Kaitlynn M. Marshall, and Emilee M. Wilson (Maxwell). He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as nephews Ernest Anderson and Ricky Wilhoite .
Charles was known for his love of family, football, fishing, and hunting. He brought joy to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Charles’s memory to Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.
