Charles Ray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Culpepper Funeral Home - Kosciusko on Dec. 30, 2025.
Chuck Ray, 66, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, January 2, 2026, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko. Visitation will be 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Culpepper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery. Jerry Meggs will officiate.

Chuck is survived by his son Chase Ray (Amanda), daughter Allison Johnson (Trey), brother Jesse Ray (Janice), sisters Sara Marchbanks, Lawanna Pettit (Joel), and Kay Maddox (Gene), grandchildren Charley Jane, Tatum, Cash, Camden, and Brynn, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Crestview Church and retired Insurance Salesman. Chuck loved coaching and cheering on his children as they played baseball and softball, never missing a chance to support them from the sidelines. An avid Mississippi State fan, he enjoyed attending sporting events whenever he could. He also found peace bream fishing, often spending hours by the water doing what he loved most. Above all else, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Bobbye Kemp Ray and son Hunter Ray.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Crestview Church in Kosciusko.
