Charles Don Robinson

Charles Don Robinson passed away on November 28, 2025, at the Franklin Nursing Home at the age of 76.

Don was born May 26, 1949, in Palestine, Texas. He was the fourth and youngest child of Jesse Nell and Fred Selman “Punch” Robinson. Don was a lifelong resident of Jewett, Texas. Most of his adult life was spent in the grocery business. First with his parents at their locally owned grocery, then at Red & White Grocery, and then retirement after more than ten years at Brookshire Brothers.

Don was an avid reader and enjoyed picking up books at the flea market along with milk glass and other collectibles. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jewett.

Don was preceded in death by his parents along with his brother, Fred Wayne Robinson and sister, Nelda Robinson Padgett. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Robinson Tracy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 2 P.M. at Sardis Baptist Church, Jewett, Texas. Bill Hughes will officiate the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory may be made to FBC Jewett, P. O. Box 263, Jewett, Texas 75846.
