Charles John Michael Rogers (Charley) 24, of Maud, Oklahoma was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Phillip Lee Rogers and Tricia Adele Stanich (Hardy).
Oh My Charley Brown Eyes, how you will be missed.
These words will fall short, because there are no words enough to describe Charles. But I’ll start with love, kindness, and the purest heart I’ve ever known. Charles had this quiet strength about him to just put you at ease to be around him. His dedication to his friends and family was unwavering. Charles never met a stranger, he excepted people without judgment.
Music was his passion and he often played his guitar or keyboards so the neighborhood could listen. It was so relaxing just to hear those soft blues or Mozart ringing in your ears. He played many instruments including the electric guitar, keyboard, trumpet, acoustic guitar and piano. He was a man of exceptional talent.
Charley was an amazing man with an old soul. Always helping, always offering a hand or a dollar if he had it. A man who had such a wonderful and beautiful spirit, and was so kind to everyone he came across. People like him are the reason we see good in this world. He went out of his own way to help others when they needed anything. He took everything with a grain of salt when things didn't go good he always smiled and kept going as if he could never be hurt, an angel that was on earth is now gone. There was a time he was asked by a friend if he was okay because he was looking a little down one day and he said "things happen but you gotta keep going" and he always smiled no matter what happened, that is the spirit of a warrior who has returned home too soon, may his smile reach you all when you feel at your lowest and be reminded that your son, your brother, your friend has impacted every heart he's come across in his short lifetime.
He was wise beyond his years, yet carried with him the innocence of a child. He was the kind of person we should all strive to be.
He left the behind many loved ones including his mom Tricia Stanich (Hardy), his dad Phillip Rogers, Brother Chance Hardy, Sisters Raven Hardy and Cortlyn Gerrond, Grandma Patricia Hardy, Nephews Jackson Hardy, Marcus Hardy and Magnus Harris, Uncles John Blackburn and Michael Hardy, Aunts Deborah Blackburn and Kristey Jensen, Cousins Shaynah Blackburn, Charlotte Gaither, Carina Gaither, Aliyah Morales, Gisselle Morales, Mia Martinez, Corabel Martinez, Carlyle Blackburn and Amari Blackburn, Stepdad James England plus many more close friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ernest Hardy Jr, Great Grandma Vesta Gaither and his uncle, Michael Blackburn.
