Charles “Charlie” J. Rolf Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home. Charlie was born on June 5, 1956, in Wilmington, Ohio at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Charles J. Rolf Sr. and Betty M. (Claybaugh) Rolf.
Charlie helped his late father run his bar during his early employment. He also opened a bar with his father years later. Charlie was a skilled and talented woodworker. He once built his mom a beautiful hutch that everyone loved. Charlie could build and fix anything, from vehicles to housing projects. He was gifted and used his skills to help family, friends and even strangers. Charlie continued to stay busy, whether it was helping his friend tow vehicles or visiting friends and family.
Charlie had a great heart and an excellent sense of humor. Regardless of how he felt, he continued to share his humor. Charlie enjoyed the holidays with family, was an excellent cook, and mastered the grill during cookouts. He enjoyed family time, especially with his grandchildren. Charlie had a green thumb, loved fishing, going up north and sitting by the fire.
Charlie will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, friends, man’s best friend, Atlas (family dog) and all that knew him.
Charlie is survived by his children: Charles “Charlie” Rolf III (Chantal Masterson) and Amber Rolf; Grandchildren: Aiyanna Rolf, Nyka Rolf, Zoey Wright, Braelyn Partridge, Charles Rolf IV and Kimberland Rolf; brother Steven Rolf (Brenda Smith), sister Sheila Wurm (Dave), brother-in-law Peter “Pete” Colbert, and several nieces and nephews.
