I met Charles in the late 80s when I was in my early 20s. At the time he was a salesman for Carboline. He was the first salesman I met that would come to the shop and ask 'us young kid painters' how things were going with his products and ask us if we needed anything. Little things like taking 'us' to lunch, buying and bringing us lunch and just caring about the little guys made a huge impression on how he treated others and also how I should treat others as I got older. Fast forward a few years and I got to know Dan and then Doug at either work, deer hunting, fishing, etc. We always had a great time when Charles would go with us and instruct us grown men on how we still needed to do things! I still consider these guys my brothers and we talk about Charles often. He will truly be missed and always remembered! RIP Charles
