Charles A. Schell, 90, of McAlisterville, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Mifflintown. Born on December 31, 1934 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Homer D. and Beulah (Shirk) Schell. On February 23, 1952,, he married his surviving wife, Margaret Lynn (Hockenbrock), whom he was blessed to share over 73 years of marriage before his passing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Curt Schell and his wife Wendy, Rick Schell, and Rob Schell and his wife Trudy; one daughter in law, Kathi; three grandchildren, Meagan, Matt, and Tom; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Schell; brothers, Richard Schell and Clarence Schell; and sisters, Arlene Wagner and Sandra Deen. Charlie attended Juniata Joint High School and was employed and retired primarily as an Owner/Operator Truck Driver. Charlie was proud of his 60 year membership with the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed owning and operating his own plane and having breakfast with his buddies. Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville with the Rev. Michael Edwards officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Schell's memory can be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 4633 Cuba Mills Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to the Hillside Cemetery, Sandy Kinney, 960 Orchard Road, McAlisterville, PA 17049. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville. Online condolences and tributes can be shared with the family at www.brownfuneralhomesinc.com.
