Charles W. Schreiber Jr.

Charles "Charlie" W. Schreiber Jr., 87, of Lakeport, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was an Air Force veteran and 40-year civil servant with the U.S. Navy. He married his beautiful wife Ingrid in 1970 and adopted her six daughters in 1973-at the time the largest single adoption in California history.

A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a lifelong singer in community and church choirs, Charlie also proudly served as Chaplain for the Military Funeral Honors Team of Lake County.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Ingrid; brother, Stanley (June) Schreiber of Paradise, CA; nine children, Donna (Mark) Tondro, Chuck (Danette) Morgan, Maureen (Tracy) Siler, Frederica (Doug) Langley, Sheryl (Mike) Miller, Deborah Wick, James (Tanya) Morgan, Karen (Dave) Stoney, and Tim (Stacy) Schreiber; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his children, Robert Chase and Patricia Diaz.

Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 16th Street in Lakeport on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Graveside interment will follow with Military Funeral Honors at Hartley Cemetery.
