Charles “Birdie/Chuck/Alton” Sharp, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, born January 25, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away January 06, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Known by many names and loved by even more people, Charles lived a life rooted in the outdoors, family, and simple joys.
A true outdoorsman, Charles felt most alive in the woods, on the water, or anywhere adventure called. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, guns, and off-roading- anything that let him be outside where he felt free. He was also an excellent pool player, a man who could hold his own at the table, and he wasn’t afraid to grab a microphone for a little karaoke when the moment felt right.
Charles’ love for his wife, Sharon (Betty), was ever enduring. Their bond was steady, loyal, and deeply felt by everyone who knew them. Family was the center of his world. His eyes lit up whenever his great-grandchildren came into the room. He loved his two daughters and grandchildren with a fierce and unwavering devotion.
He carried an ornery country boy streak that kept his family entertained and brought challenges, Charles faced them with quiet strength and without complaint. He made the best of every day, showing resilience and grace that inspired those around him. Charles will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and loved him. His legacy lives on in the stories he leaves behind, the family who adored him, and the countless memories shaped by his humor, grit, and unwavering love.
Charles is survived by his wife, Sharon (Betty) Sharp; his daughters, Amanda Creekmore and husband Rick and Kiley Pratt; his siblings, Loretta Sanders and Betty Russell; his grandchildren, Alora Rhodes, Cidney Dobbs, Dailyn Pratt, Evan Creekmore and Thomas Creekmore; his great grandchildren, Rebekah, Noah, Beau, Kalijah, Macy and Bella; and many special nephews, nieces, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Lizzie Sharp; his brother, Loyd “Bucky” Sharp; his sisters, Velma Sharp, Lola Thibodeaux. Shirley Roam, and Velda Sharp.
