Charles Shea Obituary

Charles E. Shea, Jr., 94 of North Adams, MA, passed away July 4, 2025, at home. Born in Adams, MA, he graduated from Drury High School. Charles joined the Air Force in August 1955 and was based in Okinawa, Japan. He was honorably discharged from Lowry AFB Colorado with a good conduct medal on January 31, 1960.

Charles married Esther L. Hewitt on June 6th, 1953. Charles worked at General Electric for 35 years as a draftsman; retiring in 1991.

Charles is survived by his wife, Esther Shea; three children Kathleen Shea, Kimberly Payne, Michael Shea and his wife Sue Rieter and two grandchildren, Erick Shea and Beryl Shea (Roy).

Charles enjoyed computers, music, puzzles, gardening, genealogy, and rock hounding. A multi-talented man he designed and built his home, gardens and a beautiful extensive stone wall.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Charles Shea will be celebrated Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home - CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA are Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
