Charles was a great guy,the top.musicians on the earth,I mrt him a Muncipal in Nashville Tn in 1972 I was with Harrison Calloway of the Muscle shoals Horn I was nine yrs old,I just had wrote my first song on reel to reel Skydiver Gone Blow your mind ,thirty yrs later I fid a tribute forbhim at Carole Ann,s in Nashville Tn four yrs later after that I had a video shoot gor CMA I herd Sweets gone be at Catole Ann,s I didnt even show for the Video shoot,I interviewed him abd did a video.of me and him singing my song Smooth Operator ,The video is on youtube Tracy G Allen and Charles Sherell and we have pic we took I also wrote song for him and Maceo for him to take back cross country may he rest in peace Soul Brother number one

An incredible bass player, part of an amazing group. He had such a great sound and was always great to watch. Sincere condolences to the Sherrell family, so sorry for your loss. May God be with you as you go through this very difficult time.
