Charles Henry Simerley of Calmar, age 78 went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2026. He was born May 27, 1947 in Jacksonville Arkansas. He was proceeded in death by his parents John and Hazel Simerley. Also his beloved son Joseph (Joey) Simerley and his daughter Tonya Marie Penn.
He is survived by his wife and “love of his life “ his wife of 22 years Nelda Simerley. Also his brothers Terri Simerley and Dow Simerley. His two daughters Melissa Stover and Angie Holland and husband Jesse Holland, as well as his four grandchildren who brought him much joy. And one niece Barbara Simerley Wilson of North Carolina.
Mr. Simerley retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He spent his retirement enjoying traveling with his wife he also loved to hunt deer and turkeys and took much pride in his gardens he raised every year. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He will be missed by a host of family and friends.
