Charles Leon "Sonny" Slinker

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Leon Slinker, lovingly known as "Sonny," on March 13, 2026.

Sonny was a hardworking roofer who took great pride in his work. He believed in showing up, doing the job right, and seeing things through. If he set his mind to something, he handled it-his strength, determination, and sharp mind were unmatched.

He was a loving father to many children, and his legacy lives on through each of them. His family carries forward his strength, his humor, and the love he gave so freely.

Sonny was known for his laughter and his ability to bring joy into any room. He loved telling jokes and making people smile. He found peace in the simple things-spending time fishing and sharing coffee with friends. Those moments, filled with connection and ease, were where he was most at home.

Sonny was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation, and he carried that heritage with quiet strength throughout his life.

He will be remembered for his resilience, his hardworking spirit, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
