He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Smith and Mildred Fenn Smith.
He is survived by his daughter: Patricia Cox (Eric); grandson: Dalton Hately (McKinley); great-grandchildren: Gunner and Oakley; his long-time companion: Katie Wilson; 5-step- children, 16 step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m., in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Mr Charlie was such a sweet man. He loved his family so much and was very caring for Miss Katie. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for peace for his family.
