Funeral service for Charles Wayne Smith, 84 of Hokes Bluff, will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home with Rev Allen Mancil and Scott Reeves officiating the service. Burial will follow the service at New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service.
Mr. Smith passed away at his home Wednesday, November 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, K.M. (Bo) and Jessie W. Smith, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred W. And Annie May Lipsey, his sisters, Myra Carnes and Rita Carnes.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Ann, his son, Mike (Tracy) Smith, his daughters, Kim (Allen) Mancil, Cristy (Brian) Bigelow, his grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Tyler (Savana), Dorothy, Ashley, his great grandchildren, Aly and Emersyn and a host of nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Hokes Bluff High School in 1959. He was a faithful member of New Bethel FCM Church in Hokes Bluff. He served in the Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge. He worked for Dixie Tool and Die for almost 30 years. He was a die-hard fan of the Auburn Tigers.
Pallbearers will be Scott Reeves, Mark Reeves, Andrew Reeves, Bobby McCullough, Phillip Griffith and Keith Gray.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pro Health Home Health and Hospice especially Kelli White.
