Charles "Chuck" Wallace Snowden III, 88, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and closest friends. He was born on January 11, 1937, in Wheeling, West Virginia to Charles Wallace Snowden II and Margaret Snowden. Chuck is survived by his wife, Ginnie Messina Snowden, his children Charles W Snowden IV, Wendy Snowden Wyatt, and step children Cathy Bueso, and Rick Elliott. And his sister, Diane Snowden McGrew. He has been blessed with plethora of Grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Chuck graduated from Ellet High School in Akron, Ohio, in 1954. After graduation, he worked as a roughneck in the Texas oilfields and learned an appreciation for hard work and cold beer. He is an Army veteran and served in the Ohio National Guard and went on to the University of Akron where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Chuck Snowden began his professional career at Firestone Tire and Rubber and earned the esteemed Key Man Award. He was cited by the Governor of Tennessee for his work on industrial development. He rounded out his working career by retiring from Ciba Vision and moving to The Villages with his loving wife Ginnie in 2004. He loved people and enjoyed working as a trolly driver. Chuck was very proud of his 15 years working at Lopez Legacy as Golf Ambassador and Starter. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, was fond of Zinnias, and watching Lonesome Dove with his dog.He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and sense of humor and storytelling. He had the ability to make anyone feel welcome, and enjoyed being the 20 year captain of the Trivia Pursuit team "The Torpedoes". If you are not able to attend the viewing or service, Chuck would be smiling down on you if you drank a beer in his memory while listening to his favorite song, "Keeper Of The Stars." Please join us in a celebration of Chuck's life on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 US-441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. The viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 and a service to follow from 11:30 to 12:30. The burial will be take place at Shiloh Cemetery later in the evening at 6:00 PM located at Shiloh Street and, College Ave, Fruitland Park, FL 34731
