Charles W. Snyder, Sr. age 96, died peacefully on Thursday, May 9th, 2024.

Chuck was born May 3, 1928, in Chicago, IL. He retired from the United States Army as Master Sergeant in the 187thAirborne Regimental Combat Team. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He Graduated from George Peabody College and continued his education with a J.D. from Nashville School of Law. He was retired from the United States Post Office. 

He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Nashville, TN. for almost 70 years. His favorite things were cutting grass, any type of physical activity, loved his Titans games with his sons, loved being with his family no matter the activity, loved to travel and go to daily Mass. At the end of the day Chuck Snyder simply loved the Lord and his family. 

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary Brown, and son Steve. Brothers Andrew, Eugene, and Paul; sister Francis.

He leaves behind his children: Charles Jr. (Stacy), Regina (Raymond), Tony (Jeanie), Becky (Greg) and Danny (Karen).7 grandchildren; Gaia (Lily), Alex, Anna, Daniel, Kendall (Taylor), Chase, and Andrew. 4 great grandchildren; Virginia, Raymond, Adelaide and Tripp. 

 

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 4:00-7:30 pm with a 7:00pm Rosary at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2800 Tucker Road, Nashville, TN 37218. Funeral Mass will be

celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. There will be a short visitation at the church for 1 hour prior to the service.
