Charles Stanton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Haught Funeral Home on Jan. 29, 2026.
Charles Robert Stanton Jr., a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Land O' Lakes, Florida, at the age of 66. Born on August 22, 1959, in Plant City, Florida, Charles was the beloved son of the late Charles Robert Stanton and Josephine Anne Rayburn. His warm presence and loving nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
Charles grew up in a close-knit family and was a source of strength and support to his siblings, Rhonda Dykes and Charlotte Burns. His life was a testament to the values of love and kindness, which he effortlessly embodied and shared with everyone around him. Charles's legacy continues through his children, Bobby (Becca) Stanton and Jessica Stevens, who will forever cherish the lessons and love their father imparted upon them. His joy was multiplied by the laughter and smiles of his four grandchildren, Madison Stevens, Kamryn Stevens, Eva Stanton, and Emmett Conchin, who were the light of his life.
A man of deep faith, Charles was actively involved in his religious community, where he found great solace and fellowship. His commitment to his beliefs was evident in the way he lived his life, with a generous spirit and a compassionate heart. Charles also dedicated many years to the electrician's union, where his hard work, expertise, and camaraderie were highly valued by his colleagues and friends.
Music was one of Charles's greatest passions, and he could often be found strumming his guitar, filling the room with melodies that reflected his soulful spirit. His love for NASCAR and football, especially SEC football, was well-known among his family and friends. Many weekends were spent cheering on his favorite teams, a tradition that brought him immense joy and excitement. Charles was also an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment in the quiet moments by the water.
Those who knew Charles would describe him as the epitome of loving and kind. His gentle demeanor and genuine concern for others made him a cherished companion and confidant. He approached life with a quiet strength and an unwavering positivity that inspired those around him to see the good in every situation.
As we bid farewell to Charles Robert Stanton Jr., we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. His memory will continue to guide and comfort us, like a lighthouse standing steadfast on the shore. Charles's spirit will forever be a beacon of love and kindness in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
Services will be held privately by the family.
