Charles “Charlie” William Stivers, 55, of Carlisle, passed away on November 3, 2025. Charlie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a heart of gold and was someone you could always count on. His kindness, loyalty, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was a dedicated employee of Stratton Seed in Carlisle and took pride in his work and the relationships he built there.
Charlie is survived by his loving mother, Ruby Lucille St. John Stivers of Carlisle; his sisters, Carolyn (David) Underwood and Sandy (Ray) Scrimsher, both of Carlisle; his brother, Larry Joe Stivers; and his beloved dog, Hank. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Ann Bookout Stivers; his father, Charles Joseph “Jody” Stivers; his sister, Marilyn Stivers Butler; and his brother-in-law, David M. Butler Sr.
Charlie’s life was defined by love—love for his family, his friends, and the simple joys in life. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand and had a way of making others feel valued and seen. Though he is no longer with us, the impact of his kindness and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
