Live to ride. Ride to live. Charles 'Chuck' Stohl personified this quote in every aspect of his life. Born on January 27, 1962, in Danbury, CT, Charles was a man who lived his life in the pursuit of experience, connection, and joy. He was a beacon of light, a free spirit, and a source of strength for those who knew him. His unquenchable thirst for life and his never-ending sense of adventure made him a magnet for everyone who came in contact with him. He was a man who, despite the ups and downs of life, always managed to find a silver lining in every cloud.
Chuck was a tow truck driver by profession, a job he held until his retirement. His career in transport allowed him to interact with countless souls, leaving a lasting impression on each one. His love for the open road was not confined to his job. It was also his hobby and his joy. When he wasn't working, he could be found riding his Harley, exploring the roads less traveled, and living life to the fullest. His love for his bike was only rivaled by his love for his family and his home in Leander, Texas. He was a man of simple pleasures, who found joy in the freedom of the open road and the company of his loved ones.
Charles is survived by his sister Yvette Carpenter, nephews Ricky (Zanterria)Carpenter and Donnie Carpenter (his great niece Aubree Carpenter), Kris and her partner John, stepbrothers John (Melinda) and Billy (Tammy) Thayer, Aunt Peg Picone, and cousin Nette and her partner Kevin. And numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Jr., mother Yvette Chasse, grandmother Margaret Stohl, grandfather Charles Sr., and cousin Peggy Harris. Charles's life was a testament to the power of love, adventure, and the human spirit. In the words of Mark Twain, "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time." Charles 'Chuck' Stohl was a man who lived fully, loved unconditionally, and left this world richer for his presence.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Charles on his memorial page. His story is not just one of an individual life; it is also the story of the countless lives he touched. May his memories live on in our hearts, and may his spirit continue to inspire us to live our lives to the fullest.
