It is with tearful eyes and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Mr. Charles T. Dale Sr. (Toehead), he left his earthly home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by his beloved and devoted daughters and their families.

The family will visit with friends Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
He was born on his family farm on Dale Lane in the Cathey's Creek Community on May 17, 1945 to the late Joe Irvin Dale Sr. and the late Elizabeth Louise Whitaker Dale.
He married the late Kathy Anne Inman Dale on August 8, 1964 and together they spent the next 48 years together until her untimely death on December 28, 2012.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Amanda (Phillip) Harrington of Columbia, Alexa (Jon) Clark of Williamsport, Travis Dale and Brandy Dale Moore of Spencer, Tennessee, Michael (Katie) Gifford of Florence, Alabama, Samantha and Johnathon Dale of Weber City, James Swarthout of Williamsport, Matthew (Danielle Boze) Hudson of Columbia and last but not leaset, his beautiful granddaughter and namesake Ms. Charleston Hudson of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Joe Irvin Dale, II and William Dale, and a grandson, Gary Eugene Gifford, III.
Toehead worked for Uptain Construction for 30 years as a crane engineer and after his retirement he went back to his roots and started farming. Farming is something he truly enjoyed doing in life, it gave him the time to spend with his grandchildren with whom he was a truly devoted and beloved grandfather who enjoyed spoiling them and being heavily involved in their lives. Never missing a ballgame or special event and always knowing their friends. To say he will be missed is an understatement, not only was he our father and grandfather he was our best friend.
Pallbearers will be Boo Gordon, Terry Prince, John Churchwell, Charleston Hudson, Matthew Hudson, and James Swarthout. Honorary pallbearers include, Bill Fly, Mike Lynch, Billy Johnson, Amos McCoy, Wesley Uptain, Jeff Lancaster, Joe Vineski, Sheila and Howard White, Mike McDonald, Ronnie Mash, Robert Dycus, Duck Sharp, James Carpenter, Bobby McCall, Snookes and Ricky Kelley, and his breakfast crew at Doo Dad's and his lunch crew at Williamsport Lakes.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Gibran Naddy as a wonderful doctor and friend.
