Charles Tayloe Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Tayloe, 80, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Chuck was born in Ahoskie, NC on April 8th, 1944. Chuck was a gifted athlete, mastering any sport he attempted. While in high school he lettered in four sports then went on to play Varsity football and run track at North Carolina State University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Textile Science.
While at State, Chuck met and married a young, beautiful nursing student, Sue. This past June they celebrated 59 years of love and marriage. After graduation, Chuck served as a Captain in the US Army then entered into a career in the textile industry.
In retirement, Chuck enjoyed staying fit by competitively playing golf and tennis. He and Sue travelled extensively with friends and family and he waited anxiously each year for college football season to arrive. A resident of Greensboro since 1984, Chuck was also an active member of Christ United Methodist church.
Chuck is survived by his wife Sue; daughter Ashley; granddaughters Sydney and Catie; as well as his sister Carolyn; and brother Bob (Ann).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chucks memory to Christ United Methodist Church/Memorial or Helping Hands for hunger fund.
Chuck lived a wonderful life, full of amazing experiences. We were lucky to have him for 80 years and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Chuck was such a kind, caring friend. With a quiet sense of humor he could crack you up with a funny comment or teasing retort. I feel so fortunate to be considered his friend. The way he handled and fought his illness was an inspiration I will miss him.
