Charles "Chuck" Joseph Trummer, 87, of Honesdale, passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 11, 2025. He was born on February 9, 1938 in San Bernardino, California, before relocating to New York, and retiring to Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Beloved husband and father, Chuck is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Chuck Jr., Diane, Michael and Carol (Glenn), his step-children Toni (Kevin), Jack (MC), Dean (Frannie); nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the National Guard, retiring in 1998.

Chuck was a man of few words but he spoke with his hands. He was known by all to be the original "Mr. Fix-It" or "Bob the Builder." He would just have to look at something and know exactly what to do, where it went, and how to right the wrong. Even though this was not his full time job or trade, he would help those who needed a new kitchen, bathroom, floors, electrical work, and even landscaping. His love for his country continued after the Army and the National Guard by generously donating to various military organizations. He flew the American flag proudly!

A wake will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale, with the burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the organization of your choice.
