Charles "Chuck" Wellhausen, of Waukesha, WI, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 78.
Chuck is survived by his wife, (Jeanne) Lynne for 57 devoted years. He was father to Kim (Rick) and Kari (Lisa), and a treasured grandfather to Lauren, Andrea, Finn, and Stella. He also had the joy of welcoming his great-grandson, Elias.
He found his greatest joy in life as a devoted husband, traveling and exploring sights and cultures around the world with his wife. In recent years, they enjoyed a peaceful escape from winter in Cape Coral, Florida.
A successful self-taught engineer, Chuck specialized in robotics and other computer systems. His work was part of his identity, and he approached every project with dedication, driven to organize and perfect every detail.
Chuck was an active and dedicated member and archivist of Alcoholics Anonymous, where he felt he got his life back. His family is eternally grateful for the strength and commitment he demonstrated through his 38 years of sobriety.
Abiding by Chuck's wishes, and his notable disdain for winter, a Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Rotary Club, 1150 Baxter St., Waukesha, WI.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be placed in memory of him, to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
