Charles Whiting, 40 of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Mt. Pleasant was granted his angel wings on March 18, 2010 Chuck was born on April 17, 1969 in Wayne County, Michigan to Charles and Peggy Whiting. He is the youngest of five children. He had a passion for his work. He was an exceptional engineering assistant both in Mt. Pleasant and in San Antonio. His many hobbies included surfing craigslist, sailing, flying, fixing all things mechanical, helping others, and enjoying many good times with his family and friends. Chuck is survived by the loves of his life his fiancé, Shannon and their daughter Summer, one daughter, Brittnay Brown, granddaughter, Audrey Brown, his parents, Charles and Peggy, siblings, Don, Michelle, Charlene, Jerinne Chuck was taken from our lives much sooner than we would have chosen. He was a friend, a father, a son and a brother. He was also truly the love of his fiance’s (Shannon) life. They looked forward to a wonderful life together here on earth but know that one day they will see each other again. A memorial visitation for Chuck will take place on Friday, March 26 from 10:30AM to11:30AM at Seacoast Church (750 Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant 29464). A memorial service celebrating Chuck’s life will follow at Seacoast at 11:30AM. Arrangements are by MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
