Charles Witham Obituary
Charles E. Witham Jr.,76, husband of the late Patsy Dunbar Witham, passed unexpectedly on September 26th, 2025. Charles was born August 3rd, 1949, in Bangor, Maine. The son of Charles and Jeanette (Leonard) Witham.
Charles attended Hampden, Maine schools. He grew up on the Back Winterport Road surrounded by family. Charles graduated from the Maine Law Enforcement Academy and worked for the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. Charles enjoyed being outside, woodworking, and traveling the country. He spent many summers managing the Bugs Bunny Camp Ground in Hermon and was an entrepreneur of many small businesses. He worked for Enterprise, moving vehicles and loved to drive. One of Charles' favorite things to do was to ride his motorcycle with his Blue Knight Family, along with being a proud member of Masonic Lodge #87 in Carmel, Maine. He spent the last 15 years working on his bucket list with his best friend Donna James.
In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by the love of his life, Patsy Dunbar Witham. He leaves behind his children, Susan E. Morissette, Shawn E. Witham, Sarah E. Boggs, and Paula M. Pray. His special nephew Todd Hanscom. Four brothers, Dennis and wife Barbra, Jeffrey and wife Ann, Rick, and Roscoe and wife Faye. His beloved grandchildren Athena Bryce, Antony Witham, Christopher Charles Morissette, Joshua Morissette, Noah Morissette, Jacqueline Morissette, Zachary Boggs, Destiny Boggs, Dominic Boggs, Izzac Boggs, and Brandon Pray. His great-grandkids, Zachary Jr., Oakley, MadaLynn, Kyryee, Zara, Maveric, Ryelynne. He was beloved Uncle Chuck to Jessica, Jeffery Jr., Dennis II, Charlie Ann, Nicole, Roscoe Charles, Rachael, Krysta, Kayla, and Shelly. As well as his cousins and his special friend Paul.
A memorial service and celebration of life was held on October 5th, 2025 at Masonic Lodge #87 19 Plymouth Road, Carmel, ME 04419. For those who wish to remember Charles in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Masonic Lodge for their charitable work.
