Charles Cooper Woodard, Jr., 73, of Wilson, passed away Saturday. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Smith and Rev. Matthew Spence will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

 

Charles is survived by his wife, Patsy Spence Woodard of the home; daughter, Malisha Bissette and husband, Warren of Lucama; son, Ben Woodard and girlfriend, Jennifer Hawley of Lucama; grandchildren, Avery Bissette, Whitney Bissette and fiancé Josh Webb; sisters, Norma Winborne of Wilson and Brenda Batten and husband, Joe of Carrollton, Virginia; stepchildren, Brookie Cummings and husband, Travis of Lucama, Matthew Spence and wife, Nicole of Kenly, Holly Pinckney and husband, Eric of Lucama, John Spence and wife, Jessie of Lucama; step grandchildren, Gabe Spence, Mattie Spence, Eden Spence and Jett Spence;  brother-in-law, Mickey Wilson and wife, Sabrina and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Wilson Woodard; parents, Cooper and Alma Woodard; sister, Sally Whitley and his brother, Thomas Woodard.

 

Flowers are welcome, as well as donations in memory of Charles to Shiloh Men’s Ministries, 5854 Shiloh Church Road, Wilson, North Carolina, 27896.
