Charles "Charlie" Ray Wyatt, age 73, passed away peacefully at home in Scottsburg, Indiana, surrounded by the love of his family. Born October 15, 1951, in Seymour, Indiana, Charlie was one of eight children of the late James and Johnola Wyatt.

Charlie dedicated his life to service, honor, and family. He proudly served his country for 23 years before his retirement as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, earning the respect of those who served alongside him. After retiring from the military, he found his second calling as an instructor with Schneider Trucking Company, where his knowledge, leadership, and patience guided countless students into successful careers.

Charlie grew up just down the street from the love of his life, Linda, who would become his wife and constant companion for 52 years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. He was a steady and caring presence as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, which were roles that brought him his greatest pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Christy Wyatt, Anjila Cockerham (Graeme), Jamie Wyatt, and Mandi Neidige (Robert); grandchildren, Christian Wyatt (Amanda), Madison Regian (Curtis), Dorian Cockerham, Aerial Morrow, Hannah Greer (Trevor), Wyatt Pyle, Laine Morrow, Grace Pilman, McKenzie Pyle, Keegan Neidige, Brantley Neidige, Piper Neidige, Kelsey Etienne, and Chase Etienne; and great-grandchildren, Caroline, Cillian, Paisley, and Campbell.

Charlie's legacy will be remembered in the love he shared, the values he instilled, and the example he set. His family will forever cherish his strength, his humor, and his unwavering devotion to them.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville. In keeping with Charlie's wishes, the family has honored his request for cremation.
